Training Eco Divers

Every trip to Marsa Shagra we bring and train new, eco-responsible divers. This year we filmed the training and diving of 1 new DM, 3 RD's, 2 AWD's and 1 brand new OWD. We of course gave the fresh OWD a "divers welcome" at the end of the video.

This clip shows a compilation of biologically interesting behaviour of animals on the reefs around Marsa Shagra. I have recorded different types of feeding behaviour, strategies to avoid detection by prey or predators, mating behaviour and some prime examples of symbiosis that can be found by any diver with a sharp eye. At the end there are some shots from abu ghusun and some other sightings. We had great fun diving. The diversity in marine life is amazing.

Elphinstone Reef .. One of the world's most exciting diving destinations where divers can regularly come eyeball to eyeball with the oceanic whitetip sharks -categorized as vulnerable to extinction- and the oddly shaped hammerhead sharks .. Unfortunately we haven't met any due to a delay from us, but yet it was an amazing dive.
