We are happy to announce that the winner of the RSDS Photo Competition for August has been chosen. Congratulations to Christian von Falken-Plachecki for his photo 'Elphinestone'.
Christian wins a free stay at the RSDS village of his choice. You can view the winning photo, and all the August participants here.
If you would like a chance to win, simply register on our website and upload your photos from our competition page. Each day we choose a 'photo of the day' from the selection of entries. Registered users of our website can give all the photos a star rating. At the end of the month our Photo Pro and photography workshop leader, Paul ‘Duxy’ Duxfield, looks at the votes and chooses a winner from the highest scoring photos. Full terms and conditions and prize details are available here.
Congratulations again to Christian, and good luck to all those participating this year!
Paul Duxfield, our new competition judge:
"Christian’s Oceanic White Tip taken on the stand out reef of Elphinstone, is a classic study of this apex predator. I loved the conversion to monochrome as it focussed the attention on the lovely long pectoral and dorsal fins tha tare typical of this species. It’s also a great example of what is possible to see when diving at the Red Sea Dive Safari camps with these magnificent fish regularly sighted at Elphinstone and only a short rib ride away."
Paul “Duxy” Duxfield
